80 Watt/m² QH Grid without thermostat

The QH Grid underfloor heating system from Quality Heating is developed for energy-efficient and rapid heating. QH Grid also helps prevent cracks in tiled floors, making floor leveling unnecessary. Naturally, this system also ensures easy installation.

This new underfloor heating system from Quality Heating has a thickness of only 5 mm (including the underfloor heating cable system). The Quality Heating QH Grid can be glued directly to an existing tiled, concrete, screed or wooden floor, or installed on the ISO-64 insulation boards. Tiles can be applied directly to the QH Grid system using tile adhesive. Of course they can also be leveled.

If you follow the system build-up below, you will have heat loss of only a maximum of 4%!

• ISO-64 insulation boards 6, 10, 20 or 30 mm (optional)
• QH Grid 4.5 mm with cable system
• Tiles as floor finish or other floor finish in combination with leveling compound

Calculate total area

Choose the desired power/area and thermostat type in the selection table above next to the photo. The price will be automatically adjusted and displayed for you. Example: you have a bathroom of 3.8 m2. A total of 3.5 m2 of QH Grid system is required. You are then short by 0.3 m2. You can order this separately here.

Our cable systems are made of Teflon and have a wattage of 18 W/meter.

The QH Grid system is very handy to use in tricky corners. You can click the cable into the system yourself, so no corner is too difficult. Note that the spacing between the cables must be at least 6 mm.

Now you may wonder what spacing you should use to make the best use of the cable. This differs per wattage. The higher the wattage, the closer the cable will need to be.

Below you can see a calculation that lets you easily calculate the spacing.

You want to heat your 3 m2 bathroom with a power of 160 Watts per m2. This means a total power of 480 Watts. You should divide the heated area by the total wattage and multiply the result by 18 Watts per meter.
(3 m² : 480 Watts) x 18 Watts per meter = 0.113

The cable spacing in this case is 11 cm. The cable spacing therefore determines the power per m2.

80 Watt/m2: Auxiliary heating for large room
120 Watt/m2: Main heating for large room
160 Watt/m2: Poorly insulated room or smaller room

Are you going to level the system? Bear in mind that 5 mm of leveling compound will be used up in the QH Grid system to fill the grooves. This means that to reach the minimum height you should order 10 mm of leveling compound. Always make sure that a primer is applied to your subfloor to ensure good adhesion.
