XPE-PRO ISO-84 7mm - 7.2 m² insulation with reflective layer

Note; the reflective side of the insulation must not come into contact with the heating foil. 

XPE-PRO reflective insulation with a high insulating value available in 7mm thickness developed for under floor-heating foil systems. The ISO-84 has a very high density and is composed of small closed cells that deliver excellent performance under floor-heating foil. The structure of the ISO-84 ensures that no heat is conducted downward, thereby directing all heat toward the floor surface. Supplied per pack of 7.2 m². 

For vapor sealing of the QH XPE PRO we always recommend purchasing the heat-resistant tape, because it adheres well to the blue side of the insulation.

Compressive strength

For laminate constructed with click joints the following applies: the "European Producers of Laminate Flooring (EPLF)" states that the underlayment for this type of flooring must not deform excessively. The recommended value is at least 10 kPa at 0.5 mm deformation. The QH ISO-84 underlayment shows 55 kPa at a deformation of 0.7 mm. This underlayment therefore meets the minimum requirement for compressive strength.

This value was measured under normal household use. This also covers placing larger or heavy pieces of furniture (such as sofas) on the relevant floor. To be sure, check with the manufacturer of your floor whether the intended load on the floor is compatible with the combination with this underlayment.

The above applies only to laminate click systems. For other types of flooring such as vinyl or PVC, other requirements regarding the compressive strength of the underlayment may apply.
